Compound : A preparation of one or more polymers which encapsulate other ingredients like colorants, fillers, fibres, stabilizers etc. that enhance the physical properties of the preparation. A Compound is used as such by a plastics processor.

Masterbatch

Masterbatch : A preparation of one or more polymers which encapsulate a high concentration of ingredients like colorants, fillers, fibres, stabilizers etc. that enhance the physical properties of the final preparation. A Masterbatch is blended with a polymer by a plastics processor.
